Recipe Roundup:

Eating clean in the New Year

Here are three of our fave recipes for starting off a new year right — with lean, healthy and tasty Aussie grassfed beef. We’re using sirloin, as it’s widely available and quite low in fat.

Not only is this a good fit for the winter season, it’s all about Aussie grassfed beef and veggies. If you’re cutting back on carbs, this is a tasty way to do it! Use any winter squash or combine more than one to mix it up. Oh, and “rocket” is what we call arugula Down Under. Packed with protein power, you might call this rocket fuel!

This one’s proof positive that adding steak is the best way to enjoy a salad. The “mojo” sauce is essentially a cilantro vinaigrette with almonds and mango for sweetness and crunch. Heaps of veggies, lean and clean Aussie grassfed beef and a tasty sauce to tie it all together…that’s how to get your mojo going!

If it’s not grilling weather where you are, you can do this one in your trusty cast-iron skillet or grill pan, too. And if you’re really trying to cut calories for the new year, you should probably skip or go light on the aioli…though it is awfully nice.
